Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas Eric’s loved all things creative for as long as he can remember. Race car graphics and music posters were some of his earliest influences and have led him down the path he’s on today. Eric feels a sense of freedom when creating and it has become a true passion of his. He loves the positive impact art and design can have on the world and is excited to be a part of that.
Whatever I make is an extension of me and is unique to only me. That’s the beauty of it, the one-of-one creation for the world to see. I’m obsessed with the process and would even say I appreciate it more than the final product. Seeing an idea come to life is what keeps me motivated, and my curiosity brings new skills and ideas. I feel as if I work best when I have multiple projects going on at the same time. It keeps my brain from hitting a creative block and can lead to new ideas. I’ve always looked up to creators who work in a range of mediums, as I believe that’s how you can tell if someone is truly creative. Once you learn basic design principles they can be applied to any medium.
To be creative is to be curious and this curiosity is what drives my progression as an artist. There is always room for improvement and once you think you’ve mastered something you must find the next challenge. I believe in the power of creativity, it can change the world and the way we think, it can inspire others, but the most important is it brings beauty to the world. Be honest in what you create, take pride in it, and be confident. The ultimate goal is to always be you and express your fullest potential.
