DESIGNER BIO
Vi Tran is a Vietnamese graphic designer and public relations enthusiast with a deep love for digital art, storytelling, and all things creative. Her design journey began in an unexpected way—watching quirky international commercials on YouTube as a child, where she became fascinated by the power of visual communication. Although she initially studied Business Administration at Vietnamese-German University, she soon discovered her true passion lay in design and media. This realization led her to Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where she is currently pursuing a BA in Graphic Design with a minor in Public Relations.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Vi expresses her creativity through hobbies such as cosplay and art toy collecting. She often applies her design skills to craft custom props, edit photos, and build miniature backdrops for her displays. During the COVID-19 lockdown, she began posting crafting and lifestyle videos online, which quickly gained traction. Her content resonated with over 100,000 followers, with one video surpassing 3 million views.
Vi currently works as a student designer for Texas A&M–Corpus Christi’s Marketing and Communication (MARCOM) office, where she creates branded design templates that align with the university’s identity. While Texas state regulations have required her to pause her social media presence during her time at MARCOM, she continues to grow as a designer—blending her creative passions with professional experience at every step.
