I realized I wanted to become the greatest graphic designer ever! It was even stated that I came out the womb with my own brand style guide and 10 clients asking me to make their logo pop. No, but in reality I’m an ambitious designer who’s always looking to push myself a little bit further when it comes to perfecting my skill. I love conceptualizing new ideas that aren’t in the world already. My strongest skills consist of strong copywriting and all around versatility from project to project. I find it best to treat each project like it’s my last and with the utmost importance.

Artist Statement
My name is Neiman Ward, and I am an energetic and innovative graphic designer who likes to push boundaries and inspire others through creative conceptualized pieces that weren’t already in the world. This poster series is titled “In Life You” symbolizes a lesson I’ve had to relearn day by day with each new problem I face. These problems typically occurred throughout my college career here at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and I used each poster to convey exactly how I overcame these obstacles.
Overcome Fear: When the problem first surfaces, we all tend to experience a little bit of anxiety. It’s okay to be afraid but, it’s best to overcome the fear of this new obstacle and to face it head-on with your best foot forward.
Move Forward: After you’ve realized “Hey, this is scary, but I can overcome this and won’t let this problem control me.” is when you can move forward and start figuring out solutions to transcend to success.
Achieve Glory: The moral of the story is the glory. Once, you’ve conquered the problem and landed on the best possible solution in the given situation then you’ve achieved that glorious victory. From here the process repeats, but you’ll always end up right at the end achieving what you thought would be impossible.
Designed and executed in Adobe Photoshop, the series uses the blending of multiple photos to create a beautiful and out-of-this-world collage. Each execution shows an astronaut going through the phases of overcoming a problem. In the first poster, I use the black hole to portray the problem and the astronaut is floating away and overcoming the anxiety. Next, the astronaut has landed on a baron planet and is looking forward to seeing what’s ahead. Lastly, the astronaut has conquered the fears and obstacles and stands atop a vast range staring over everything they’ve conquered. Also, each poster consists of experimental typography that enhances the visual experience through the layering of elements and compositionally adding movement to the pieces.
